## Summary
Barack Liu (legal name Hongyang Liu; Chinese name 刘宏阳) is a Technical Account Manager at GMI Cloud, a GPU cloud provider, based in Mountain View, California (since December 2025). He was previously a Customer Engineer at Microsoft in Shanghai (2020–2022). He holds an M.S. in Computer Science & Software Engineering from the University of Washington Bothell (2024), an M.Eng. in Computer Technology from Shanghai Jiao Tong University (2020), and a B.Eng. in Electronic Information Engineering with a second degree in Finance from Huazhong University of Science and Technology (2017). As an undergraduate he co-founded Vdanmu (微弹幕), a live-danmaku product. Outside work he makes AI music films with a pipeline he built, and he wrote a completed web novel.
